Overview
Two and a half hours of motorway separate Casablanca from Marrakech, which makes the red city a long but entirely workable day. You leave early, spend the middle of the day inside the medina, and come back in the evening.
The day is built around what actually fits: the Koutoubia, the Bahia Palace, the Saadian Tombs and the souks around Jemaa el-Fna. Trying to add the gardens as well turns the visit into a march, so they are offered as a trade rather than an addition.
